This notice explains how we handle your personal data under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who We Are

What We Collect, and Why

• Enquiries: when you use the form we receive your name, phone number and, if you give them, your vehicle registration, postcode or town, the service you need and your message. We use them to reply, price and book the job. Legal basis: steps you ask us to take before a contract, and the contract itself if you book.
• Calls and WhatsApp: your number and what you tell us, for the same purpose and on the same basis.
• Jobs: your vehicle details, the work done and the payment record. Legal basis: the contract, and our legal obligations for tax and accounting.
• Website measurement: only if you accept cookies, Google Analytics and Google Ads measure visits and which ads led to enquiries. Legal basis: your consent. See our cookies page.

We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not send marketing unless you ask us to.

Who Else Handles It

Service providers who process data for us under contract and only on our instructions: our website host and web developer (Webso Digital, who run the site and deliver form enquiries to us by email), Zoho (the email service that carries form enquiries), and, only with your consent, Google (Analytics and Ads). WhatsApp messages are handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own terms. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK, with the safeguards UK law requires.

How Long We Keep It

Enquiries that do not lead to a job are kept only as long as needed to deal with them. Customer and job records are kept for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting, usually six years. Then they are deleted.

Your Rights

You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, ask for it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent. Contact us using the details above; we reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113). We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Security

The website runs over an encrypted connection, the form has spam protection, and enquiries go straight to our mailbox. Access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to do the job.
