Mobile DPF Cleaning In Skelmersdale

Skelmersdale was designated a new town in 1961, and it is still laid out in the districts that plan created. We cover all of them: Tanhouse, Digmoor, Ashurst, Birch Green, Moorside and the older streets of Old Skelmersdale, along with the estates such as Larkhill, Leeswood, Ledburn and Lindens. East of the town we go to Up Holland, and we work on Pimbo Industrial Estate on the southern side by the motorway.

The M58 runs along the south of Skelmersdale, with three junctions serving the town: junction 3 for the A570 and Ormskirk, junction 4 for the A5068 into the middle of Skelmersdale, and junction 5 for the A577, Pimbo and Up Holland. Head east and it ends at the M6 at Orrell. A car that uses the M58 every day gets the long hot runs a DPF needs to burn off its soot.

The trouble is the driving inside the town. A trip from Digmoor to the Concourse, a school run from Ashurst to Tanhouse or a shift change on Pimbo is a couple of miles of roundabouts and then the engine goes off. The exhaust never gets hot for long enough, regeneration does not finish, and the soot keeps building until a light appears. That is why we always run diagnostics first: the readings show how full the filter is and whether a sensor or another fault is part of the problem.
