DPF, EGR and AdBlue deletes are for off-road, competition, agricultural and export vehicles. Removing or disabling emissions equipment on a vehicle used on UK public roads breaks the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986, the DPF is checked at the MOT, and any modification must be declared to your insurer. The decision is the owner's. If the filter can be saved, a DPF clean from £195 keeps the vehicle road legal.

Where The Filter Can Be Cleaned
A blocked filter is often the result of another fault: a pressure or temperature sensor, an EGR problem, AdBlue crystals near the injector, or driving that never lets it regenerate. Where the filter is suitable for cleaning, a professional clean is an alternative to replacing the whole DPF.

What Does A DPF Delete Remap Do?
The diesel particulate filter sits in the exhaust and traps soot, then burns it off in a regeneration. When the filter is removed or emptied, the engine computer still expects it: it keeps trying to regenerate, reports faults and can put the vehicle in limp mode.
A DPF delete remap is the software side of that job. We rewrite the engine computer so that it:
- no longer monitors the DPF or its pressure sensor
- no longer runs regeneration cycles
- clears the DPF-related fault codes and warning lights
Owners of off-road vehicles choose it to stop blocked-filter breakdowns, limp mode and the cost of replacement filters. We use top of the range licensed tuning software for the remap.

Is A DPF Delete Legal, and Will It Pass The MOT?
A DPF delete is for off-road, competition, agricultural and export vehicles. Since February 2014 the MOT has checked that a diesel's DPF is fitted, and a road vehicle with the filter removed fails. No. Since February 2014 the MOT has included a check that a diesel's DPF is fitted, and a vehicle with the filter removed or emptied fails.
