What ECU remapping is

The Power The Manufacturer Held Back

ECU remapping changes the software in your vehicle's engine control unit. Manufacturers set conservative limits to meet regulations and suit different markets. Adjusting those parameters for your vehicle releases more of what the engine can safely do.

Our custom Stage 1 remap is set up for the individual vehicle, whether a diesel or a turbocharged petrol, and written with top of the range licensed tuning software, so every change stays within safe limits and the engine is not put under unnecessary strain.

And plenty more, petrol and diesel alike.

Done properly

Stage 1 Only, Within Safe Limits

Every remap is Stage 1: software on a standard engine, set up for that vehicle and kept within safe limits, so the engine is not put under unnecessary strain.

A remap is a modification, so tell your insurer. If you ever want the original software back, for a sale or a lease return, that is our back to stock service.

Driving a lot of miles? Economy tuning, from £200, is a remap set up for fuel rather than power: see economy tuning.

Questions

Stage 1 Remap Questions

Anything else? Call 0330 043 8834 or send a WhatsApp with your registration.

How Much Is A Stage 1 Remap?

Stage 1 remaps start from £200. The price depends on the make, model and engine, so send the registration and you get the exact price before booking.

What Is A Stage 1 Remap?

A software change to the engine computer on a standard vehicle, with no new parts. It adjusts the engine's settings within safe limits, to release the power and torque the manufacturer held back.

How Much Power Will I Gain?

It depends on the vehicle. As a guide from our own remaps, diesel cars usually gain 25 to 90 bhp and petrol cars 5 to 70 bhp. Send the make, model and engine and we tell you what yours can gain before you book.

Is A Stage 1 Remap Safe For My Engine?

A custom Stage 1 remap is set up for the individual vehicle and kept within safe limits, written with licensed tuning software, so the engine is not put under unnecessary strain.

Does A Stage 1 Remap Save Fuel?

It can. A remap that makes the engine more efficient uses less fuel for the same drive, driven the same way. If fuel is the priority, an economy remap is set up for that rather than for power.

Is A Stage 1 Remap Legal, and Do I Tell My Insurer?

Remapping is legal in the UK as long as the vehicle still meets the emissions standards it was approved to, and a Stage 1 remap does not remove any emissions equipment. It is a modification, so you must tell your insurer.

Do You Do Stage 2 Remaps?

No. We do Stage 1 remaps only: software on a standard engine, set up for the individual vehicle.
